SLJ - Activity 3: Concluding the Journey

1: I learnt that there is so much pollution in the ear in China.

2: I was surprised to learn how much damaged pollution can make!

3: I was upset to learn how little tigers is left in the wild.

4: Me and my family can symbolically adopt some kind of wild cat.

I have really enjoyed doing Summer Learning Journey.  Can you please do it at Ellesmere College and Dunsandel Primary School, because that is where me and my brother is going this year and we would love to do it again at the end of the year. I have written a poem to end of this year, here it is.

Thank you for providing the  Summer Learning Journey,
I have to end of now because I am flying to South Africa this afternoon! 😛😜😝🙃Meow!!!!!!!!!

SLJ - Activity 2: The Plastic Pledge

I asked my mum about of the removal of the plastic bags and this is what she said: "I think it is a good idea, because it will  definitely decrease the number of rubbish in the environment.

Where I come from (South Africa) there is a lot of plastic bags on the streets. IT LOOKS AWFUL

On the other hand, it was very convenient to always have bags just given to me. I will have to get used to bringing my own bags."

SLJ - DAY 1: Preserving the Past

If  I could ask Dame Suzie Moncrieff 5 questions, the questions  would be:

  • Where do you get your ideas from?
  • Why do you do what you do?
  •  Have you ever heard about the Creative Junk Shop?
  •  Why did you make your dress from newspaper?
  • What new adventures are you planning for 2019?

  •  Broccoli - because Broccoli is yak and is also associated       with a tree and I will never eat a tree!
  • Cauliflower - IT'S JUST A BROCCOLI IN DISGUISE!
  • Tomatoes -  it is just soooooo disgusting!
  • Bananas - I hate to eat it!
  • Onions - I do not like to eat onions raw.
  • Jam - I hate to eat jam because it is mushy.
  • Raisins - because it is dead flies!
  • Fish and Chips - I don't like fish and chips because it is baked in dough.
  •  Vegetarian sausages - it does not taste good.

SLJ - Activity 2: You are my Sunshine

SLJ - Activity 2: Pancakes and Maple Syrup?

Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 500 ml of Self Raising flour
  • A pinch of salt (2 ml of salt)
  • ml sunflower oil
  • 300ml of milk
  • 300ml of water
  • 5 ml of vinegar
  • 4 egg
Metod
Mix all the ingredients together.  Heat a pan on the stove and put a little oil (extra oil) in the pan -wait until it is heated. Use a soup dishing up spoon and scoop a spoon full off the mixture into the pan, let it bake on the one side and then carefully turn it around - let it bake on the other side too.

In a bowl, mix 3 cups of sugar and 3 teaspoons of Cinnamon.
When you are done doing this, sprinkle a little on a plate.  Put the baked pancake on the plate and sprinkle some more cinnamon sugar over the pancake.  Repeat until all the pancakes is done.

Important
Remember to keep on adding a little oil after every fourth pancake in the pan! 😀  Use a non stick pan!😊   Left over sugar can be saved for next time when you bake pancakes!😉    ENJOY!  😁

SLJ - Activity 3: The WWF: World Wildlife Fund

WWF was trying to save the tigers.  WWF is sending people to patrol the area were the tigers still live and breed but because there is so little people to help and a lot of space to patrol they use cameras to watch out for tigers and poachers.  Some of the people that work for WWF convince poachers to give up hunting and start helping the tiger to survive.  They also made people aware that they can help save tiger where ever they are.

I have done some more research on WWF and that is where I found some of my answers.
I will put a link to a video to a nice clip made by WWF and one of there other videos I found.
I will also put a link to another  video made by Big Cat Rescue.

SLJ - Activity 3: Weird and Wonderful

SLJ - Activity 3: Salt and Pepper

This is my room,  it is in Russia in the town of Zapovedni. It is built into a mountain and made out of stone.  The hotel is in the middle of a snow leopard reserve, so sometimes the guests can see the snow leopards on a stroll.  The snow leopards is wild but have a huge fencing around them, which gives them 4 acres of land.
Some of the funds from the hotel goes to pay salaries, the rest goes to saving big cats around the world but mostly the snow leopard.
